Devonport is a lovely historical village near the sea with an abundance of free local activities for the community and tourists to enjoy in. Tourists may choose to take a leisurely walk along the seaside promenade over the two mounts, or follow the Old Devoport Walk mapped route of historical sites and colonial architecture. One can also visit the many galleries and museums such as The Devonport Historical Museum, The Navy Museum and the newly opened Jackson Museum. North Head is also a lovely tourist attraction where the WWII caves are to be found. Cheltanham Beach is a beautiful location to enjoy with the kids. Parents can relax and enjoy a game of golf at the 18 hole course while the kids play at a near by skate park.
